Delete your PiliPins account
You can delete your PiliPins account, and the data that goes with it, at any time. PiliPins is made by Pilipins App.
In the app
- Open PiliPins and go to the Profile tab.
- Tap Delete account.
- Tap Delete my account to confirm.
Your account is deleted straight away and you're signed out.
If your account is suspended, it can't be deleted from the Profile tab. Tap Request account deletion on the suspended screen, or email us as below: we'll delete it within 30 days of your request.
Without the app
Email support@hanapkita.ph from the email address you sign in to PiliPins with, with the subject “Delete my PiliPins account” and your username. We'll confirm the request comes from you and delete the account within 30 days, usually much sooner.
What is deleted
- Your sign-in: your email address, and your name and photo from Google if you signed in with Google.
- Your username, avatar and any private display name.
- The location readings from every visit — latitude and longitude, accuracy, speed and direction, times — and the phone model and system details sent with them.
- Your photo memories: every photo you added, with its date and caption.
- Your tips about places, published or not.
- Your reports of tips and places, and the places you suggested.
- Your public profile and share pages, which stop working immediately.
- The copy of your data kept on your phone.
What is kept, and for how long
- Your stamps, as anonymous records — which place was stamped, when, the pins it earned, and the home province — shown as “Deleted user”. They can't be linked back to you, and they keep other players' places and past rankings from changing. Kept indefinitely.
- Your old username, for 90 days, so nobody else can take it and pretend to be you. Then it's released.
- Server logs and backups — request logs (including IP addresses) are deleted after about 30 days, and database backups after up to 7 days.
Deleting some data without deleting your account
In the app you can remove your avatar, change your username, and make your profile private so that none of your stamps are shown to other people. To ask us to delete anything else, email support@hanapkita.ph.
